When you deactivate your account, your data is hidden immediately but not permanently deleted for 30 days. During this period, you can reactivate your account and restore your data.
What changes when you deactivate?
Profile Visibility: Your profile page is completely hidden from other users across the application.
Content and Activity: Your posts, comments, and interactions are immediately filtered out from search results and feeds.
Data Retention: Your data remains securely stored on our servers during the temporary 30-day window.
How do you reactivate your account?
Logging In: Simply log back into Muze with your existing account credentials within 30 days.
Instant Recovery: The authentication pipeline will automatically clear the deactivation timestamp and fully restore your visibility.
What happens after 30 days?
Permanent Deletion: If 30 days pass without a login, a scheduled cleanup job permanently purges your account.
Cascading Cleanup: All associated posts, comments, and media are completely and irrecoverably removed from the database.
